A Christmas giveaway! NOW CLOSED

Special Thanks to my nephew Noah for being my quilt's feet.  He was the perfect height for this quilt!

In honor of the 1st Christmas gift (Jesus!) I want to do a Christmas giveaway with y'all. Because I am too lazy to get my camera out at this time I love surprises, the prize will not be revealed until the winner is.  Sound fun? Here are your chances to enter:

1)Leave me a comment on this post telling me what sewing related thing you'd most love for Christmas: fabric, notions, machines, or tools. I wanna hear! I want a rolling case for craft night and a new iron.

AND/OR

2)Leave me a comment on this post telling me you are a follower (new or old).

SOOOOO...2 chances to win & since the first Christmas gift was for the entire world then in keeping with the theme my giveaway will be, too. International entries welcome!

If you are marked NO-REPLY please make sure you leave some way for me to get in touch with you on your entries (such as your blog URL or an email).  Merry Christmas and Good Luck!

  1. I love your quilt! The sewing related thing I want the most for Christmas is inspiration and some kind of anti-procrastination tool... :)

  2. I am a follower, dunno if I qualify as an "old" one or a "new" one, I've been following for several months now and loving every minute!

  3. What I would want most is bunches and bunches of fabric! I'd love layer cakes, charm packs, and jelly rolls of my fave moda fabrics! And some solids, too! And batting! And thread! I need all of it, right now, fairly badly. (Need! Not just want!) I'm also drooling over a rotary sharpening thingy, that thingy that winds your bobbins for you. And those magic bobbin washers. Oh my, I can't pick just one! If I had to, I'd say . . . . layer cakes! Sweetwater has a new one that I'm really loving!

  7. Your quilt is awesome--fine work, lady!
What I really need right now is an Creative Grids 6X24 ruler because I took a chunk out of mine with the rotary cutter (note to self: don't try to cut leftie when you're a rightie). I did receive the gift of a chalk fabric marker with multi-colored chalk pieces and it's completely fabulous. Highly recommended!

  8. I love your Tunnel Quilt! Great pattern - looks super easy with your instructions. I would love one of the circular cutting mats that rotate for easier rotary cutting. They are a bit pricey, so don't know if that is going to happen this year?

  9. I love your quilt! Great use of the colours!
Hmm, sewing related Christmas wish? I have been wondering how many shopping centre Santas laps I have to sit on to get some Parisville by Tula Pink. :)
Hope you have a great Christmas!

  32. I wanted to send you an email, but the email addy that was attached to your comment on my blog didn't work for some reason. :)

Anyways, the magic bobbin washer is a small washer you place in your bobbin case before your bobbin goes in. It helps to get rid of that birds nest problem when you do free motion quilting on your little $50 plastic Brother machine. LoL (Common issue I have.) I've seen them on many online quilt shops, and they have been reviewed by some of the ladies who's blogs I frequent.

"Little Genie Bobbin Washers" usually come in 12 packs, and cost around $12. Sometimes they are less, sometimes they are more. It just depends on the shop.

my email addy is jody(dot)edwards(at)yahoo(dot)com. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm new to your site from Moda. I've already added you to my RSS feed, though, because I love your site. If I could have anything for Christmas, it would be a long arm quilting machine. (Thanks for the chance to win--and no worries on the lack of picture, I'm pretty lazy, too, as you'll notice by my email.) Merry Christmas!

The thing I have real Quilter envy at the moment is the GO Cutters! They seem amazing. I've priced them in Australia and they are just so overpriced. A trip to the US sometime this year may be in order!!

    P.S. Your quilts are beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  59. LOL. Some of these comments are great (like Sooze's)! I most want fabric to make my stash grow. I often feel like I don't have enough background fabrics (like dots, checks, cathedrals, etc.) or enough cute designer fabrics to work on quilt-like projects (like quiet books, too). I'm starting to build my stash, but it's a slow beginning. But a fun one! :D

    ReplyDelete
  60. I would love a LARGE cutting mat. The biggest I have is 12", makes cutting long strips a bit difficult.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Fabric. I always want fabric!! haha

  62. I'll just come out and say it... I CAN"T SEW. BUT! I want to learn so badly... my mom and I just found a 1964 Sears sewing machine at goodwill and it was in PERFECT condition. It was inside the all wooden fold-out table with the all-wooden sewing chair. So! She will be teaching me on that at her house. For myself I'd love a sewing machine :)

  153. I think I'd love it if the Christ Child brought me a serger. Everyone says they are wonderful. On the other hand, it would be my third, no fourth sewing machine so I'm probably being greedy.
