Special Thanks to my nephew Noah for being my quilt's feet. He was the perfect height for this quilt! |
If you're a regular reader of this little blog, please head on over some time to Moda Bake Shop to see my latest project. If you're here because of my tutorial on the Bake Shop or the Sew Mama Sew giveaway, WELCOME!
In honor of the 1st Christmas gift (Jesus!) I want to do a Christmas giveaway with y'all. Because
1)Leave me a comment on this post telling me what sewing related thing you'd most love for Christmas: fabric, notions, machines, or tools. I wanna hear! I want a rolling case for craft night and a new iron.
AND/OR
2)Leave me a comment on this post telling me you are a follower (new or old).
SOOOOO...2 chances to win & since the first Christmas gift was for the entire world then in keeping with the theme my giveaway will be, too. International entries welcome!
If you are marked NO-REPLY please make sure you leave some way for me to get in touch with you on your entries (such as your blog URL or an email). Merry Christmas and Good Luck!
Don't forget to check out Sew Mama Sew for other giveaways!
I love your quilt! The sewing related thing I want the most for Christmas is inspiration and some kind of anti-procrastination tool... :)
ReplyDeleteI am a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI am a follower, dunno if I qualify as an "old" one or a "new" one, I've been following for several months now and loving every minute!
ReplyDeleteWhat I would want most is bunches and bunches of fabric! I'd love layer cakes, charm packs, and jelly rolls of my fave moda fabrics! And some solids, too! And batting! And thread! I need all of it, right now, fairly badly. (Need! Not just want!) I'm also drooling over a rotary sharpening thingy, that thingy that winds your bobbins for you. And those magic bobbin washers. Oh my, I can't pick just one! If I had to, I'd say . . . . layer cakes! Sweetwater has a new one that I'm really loving!
ReplyDeleteI follow you.

ReplyDeletefor Christmas I would love a new machine or fabric. I left you a comment at the bakeshop because your quilt is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI came because of your quilt on MBS. It's so cute! Now I am going to check out your blog.

Your quilt is awesome--fine work, lady!
ReplyDeleteWhat I really need right now is an Creative Grids 6X24 ruler because I took a chunk out of mine with the rotary cutter (note to self: don't try to cut leftie when you're a rightie). I did receive the gift of a chalk fabric marker with multi-colored chalk pieces and it's completely fabulous. Highly recommended!
I am a follower-happy day!
ReplyDeleteI love your Tunnel Quilt! Great pattern - looks super easy with your instructions. I would love one of the circular cutting mats that rotate for easier rotary cutting. They are a bit pricey, so don't know if that is going to happen this year?
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt! Great use of the colours!
ReplyDeleteHmm, sewing related Christmas wish? I have been wondering how many shopping centre Santas laps I have to sit on to get some Parisville by Tula Pink. :)
Hope you have a great Christmas!
I am a follower :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the exciting mystery giveaway! I would adore some fabric for Christmas - I have been dropping not-so-subtle hints to my husband (including emails with catalogue numbers!) for weeks!

ReplyDeleteWould adore more fabric.
Your quilt is beautiful - love the bright colours! For Christmas I would love fabric, and more fabric!!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! Easy to follow tutorial.
ReplyDeleteBesides fabric, I want a GO cutter for Christmas. I hate cutting fabric.
Just letting you know that I am a Tulip Patch follower and look forward to your posts! Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteAnd the thing I want more than anything else in the whole wide world is a long-arm machine!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower to your blog. I just discovered how to follow blogs...I am a Kindergarten Teacher and quilting is a passion of mine even though I never have time to do much. I am a mother of two beautiful girls one who is 21 and expecting a baby in January...so YEAH I am gonna be a grandma. The other is a high school senior and will be going away to college in the fall so empty nest syndrome has already set in I cry when I think about her leaving. I have started spending more and more time quilting. I love your blog it is wonderful lots of Wonderful ideas.....Thank you for all you do.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I want most for Christmas I already have....The love of Jesus , family and good health. In the quilting line I would love fabric or anything ....not picky. Happy with anything I receive.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas surprises. A quilty thing on my wish list would be a Go! Acuquilt machine. Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteI got here via Moda Bake Shop and I wanted to tell you how much I love your tunnel vision quilt and can't wait to give it a try! But, now I have discovered your adorable blog so I am a follower. Double goodness!!!

Oh! And top of my Christmas list this year is a Horn serger table and platform for my Babylock Evolve. One can never have enough sewing furniture, right?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win your Christmas surprise. Thanks for entering me in the drawing.
Off to finish a quilt for my grandson today! I'll be back soon.
Merry Christmas.
xoxo
Donna
I wanted to send you an email, but the email addy that was attached to your comment on my blog didn't work for some reason. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways, the magic bobbin washer is a small washer you place in your bobbin case before your bobbin goes in. It helps to get rid of that birds nest problem when you do free motion quilting on your little $50 plastic Brother machine. LoL (Common issue I have.) I've seen them on many online quilt shops, and they have been reviewed by some of the ladies who's blogs I frequent.
"Little Genie Bobbin Washers" usually come in 12 packs, and cost around $12. Sometimes they are less, sometimes they are more. It just depends on the shop.
my email addy is jody(dot)edwards(at)yahoo(dot)com. :)
I'm new to your site from Moda. I've already added you to my RSS feed, though, because I love your site. If I could have anything for Christmas, it would be a long arm quilting machine. (Thanks for the chance to win--and no worries on the lack of picture, I'm pretty lazy, too, as you'll notice by my email.) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI was just at the Bakeshop and headed over hear. I love this quilt.
ReplyDeleteI want a gift certificate to the local quilt shop for Christmas. Like I need any more fabric!

I've been a follower.
ReplyDeleteI'd taken a vow to not purchase any fabric, until I use some of my enormous stash; so, fabric would be welcome.
ReplyDeleteI would love fabric and any type of notion. I just started sewing so have no "stash" and see so many things online I would love to make but never have any of the supplies. Plus fabric so sooo fun and beautiful!
ReplyDeletelove your work/blog, you are very talented. My wish for Christmas is patience and perseverance as I am teaching my daughter inlaw to quilt, and perhaps a fat quarter bundle for her to add to a very NEW fabric stash. God Bless and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI found you from the Bakeshop tutorial. I love the quilt. I have asked my children to give me gift cards for fabrics.
ReplyDeleteNew follower - today.
ReplyDeleteI always like to get new notions or books for Christmas, usually something I wouldn't buy myself but would like to have. I've got your box quilt on my list of things to make in the new year.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteWhat I would love for Christmas is a new iron! It's on my list and I've tried to be a pretty good girl this year so we will see! Happy quilting and Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteI follow your blog. I like reading it.
ReplyDeleteI have a sewing machine in Layaway that I would LOVE to get out. A few pre-cuts would be nice. I haven't gotten to use to many of them yet as I am stash busting. Also, I have a couple of quilt books that I want SO MUCH! and I have a couple of BOM that I would like. I've never done one of them either. How's that for a list? LOL
ReplyDeleteI've been a follower for awhile and quite enjoy your blog!

ReplyDeleteI am now a new follower. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt!!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower.
The thing I have real Quilter envy at the moment is the GO Cutters! They seem amazing. I've priced them in Australia and they are just so overpriced. A trip to the US sometime this year may be in order!!
Fabric, cottons, scraps. There can just never be enough.
Thanks for the chance to win.
Regards,
Alison
Always fabric!
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering!
I'm anew follower. I love your quilt!
ReplyDeleteFABRIC! more fabric...
ReplyDelete:)
I love your new quilt! I am still working on the Ritzy cracker, but am almost ready to let you see it!!! Sewing related present? There are SEW many things!!!!If I keep adding though, I may need a new bigger room to put everything in!!!!! Merry Christmas...
ReplyDeleteNew scissors! Especially, a small pair for getting into tight spaces while I'm hand sewing my Jesse Tree Ornaments...sharp, too, would be nice!

ReplyDeleteP.S. Your quilts are beautiful.
LOL. Some of these comments are great (like Sooze's)! I most want fabric to make my stash grow. I often feel like I don't have enough background fabrics (like dots, checks, cathedrals, etc.) or enough cute designer fabrics to work on quilt-like projects (like quiet books, too). I'm starting to build my stash, but it's a slow beginning. But a fun one! :D
ReplyDeleteI would love a LARGE cutting mat. The biggest I have is 12", makes cutting long strips a bit difficult.
ReplyDeleteFabric. I always want fabric!! haha
ReplyDeleteI'll just come out and say it... I CAN"T SEW. BUT! I want to learn so badly... my mom and I just found a 1964 Sears sewing machine at goodwill and it was in PERFECT condition. It was inside the all wooden fold-out table with the all-wooden sewing chair. So! She will be teaching me on that at her house. For myself I'd love a sewing machine :)

ReplyDeleteI love surprises! On my Christmas list this year are scissors and a needle threader. Oh, and Go! dies. The biggest wish is for a peaceful day with my family, though.

ReplyDeleteI really hope I get some nice fabric scissors. I just have tiny little paper ones and it is near impossible to cut straight with them!
ReplyDeleteSo yep scissors! Also that quilt is soo pretty my goodness. off to stalk your blog.
What I want is a better set up. I need a better table to sew on. My mom came over and couldn't work at it, b/c it made her back hurt!
ReplyDeleteI would love a dedicated sewing space, but I'd settle for time to get my sewing things organised!!
ReplyDeleteFABRIC! Is there anything better???
ReplyDeletebeckymac1@hotmail.com
I really want a standing height project table in my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteI think i would love some more quilting supplies for Christmas.

I would like a book on modern quilting. But really I'm saving my sewing wishes for next fall when my in-laws come back to the country and I have to give up my MIL's Bernina. I'm going to have to cash in several gifts to get myself a new sewing machine!

ReplyDeleteI've asked for a free motion foot for my sewing machine and I've put loads of sewing books on my Amazon wishlist which I've shared!
ReplyDeleteQuilting books and fabric are my favorites. In fact hubby just let me order more fabric for my birthday which is TOMORROW!
ReplyDeleteI would love some new feet for my sewing machine! I want to try my hand at pintucks and gathering, etc. But I always love fabric! ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love a big box of good thread! I am always running out, it gets pricey and I would love all the colors of the rainbow! Fun Surpise giveaway!
ReplyDeleteBeing a wee bit hooked on sewing notions, I'm wishing for lots of buttons and lace and ribbon. And while not strictly sewing related to most, I'd love some new audiobooks. I go though a lot of audiobooks when I sew (they let me combine two of my favourite things, sewing and reading), so a few more would be brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway - I love surprised! And I loved your most recent quilt pattern on the Bake Shop - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a whole room all to myself to quilt in...that's not too much to ask, right? ;)

ReplyDeleteI started following your blog! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this line from your entry: "since the first Christmas gift was for the entire world then in keeping with the theme my giveaway will be, too." It actually made me a little teary. ;p
ReplyDeleteI don't have any big ticket crafty items on my wish list, but I have been eyeing up the holiday fabric lately...I want to make a tree skirt for my new (to me) white tree.
