I took the opportunity this week to purchase 2 tickets to the Houston International Quilt Festival. I live less than 20 miles from the George R. Brown Convention Center where the festival/market is held every year. I have no idea what person was persuasive enough to convince everyone to come to such a hog and muggy place to celebrate quilts, but I am thankful to that person! My best friend will be driving down...she is a fellow quilter and I am so excited to have someone going with me who will enjoy it just as much as I will.
I am really excited about seeing my little quilt at the Moda Bake Shop booth. The tutorial goes up next Saturday and I realized we are going to be traveling to ride Thomas the Tank Engine. It's probably a blessing in disguise...I might be glued to the computer all day otherwise. Please leave me some comment love on the bake shop blog and stop in here on 10/23/10 for details on how to win yourself all of this:

Quilt Festival should be amazing. Btw: I'm drooling over the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI am !SEW! jealous!!!! Will you be able to buy fabric while at the festival?
ReplyDeleteYou have no right to be jealous- YOU HAVE DEKALB! I think having awesome fabric, awesome selection, and a GREAT price trumps a once a year gig. I can't wait to visit again. Tell Mrs. Carolyn I am comin' so be ready.
